Kelsey is a mom to baby Tucker during the day & a ballet/tap teacher at night. Layla works with all age groups teaching and operating the dancewear boutique inside The Dance Company.
About Ms. Lani
Lani Milling holds a BS degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University. While earning her college degree, she worked as a teacher’s assistant at Pritchett-Pippin Dance Studio in Albany & at Gerlock Studio in Valdosta. She has held several titles during her pageant career including Miss Riverview Academy 1991, Miss Lowndes/Lanier County Forestry 1994 and Miss Congeniality while also going on to compete at the state level where she represented Lowndes & Lanier Counties. Upon graduation Lani moved back to Albany where she worked as a teacher during the day & as a dance instructor at night. Lani opened her first dance studio in Americus, GA, where she taught full-time for 9 years. In 2008, Lani opened the Albany branch of The Dance Company. With the opening of her second location, Lani teaches over 200 students. She has won several pageants during the course of her career & now judges & choreographs pageant numbers for individuals & groups as well as musicals for local schools. Lani has worked at Darton College as a part-time dance instructor & has choreographed opening numbers and entertainment segments for pageants, parades and other events. Lani has also served on the Lee County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for 3 years. The Dance Company has successfully completed its 24th annual Spring Recital. Our newest teaching endeavors include after school classes at Terrell Academy, Pataula Charter Academy & Southwest Georgia STEM Charter School. Mission
Here at The Dance Company we offer professional, affordable dance instruction in a non-competitive environment. We provide developmentally appropriate dance instruction to ages 2 through adult. We offer classes in Ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, hip hop and acrobatics. Lani Milling, the owner and teacher of most classes, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Valdosta State University. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience the joy of dance!
